Question 1
What are big companies doing in order to be more socially responsible?

ANS:
For Sing Tel,they support CSR by initiatives focusing on youth and education and environment.In the Environment, they are cutting down carbon emission and the use of paper.McDonalds also made sure they do their part.They make sure that their food is safe.They also make sure they they did not buy beef or other food originating from the rainforest's land or recently deforested rain forest.For DBS they help this by sending their staff embarked over Asia.This includes teaching the children overseas and by building basketball courts in some rural areas.



Question 2
How important it is to be socially responsible? And do you think it is still possible to make a social impact during the recession?

ANS:

Its very important to be responsible as later in life we need to be dependant on our own when we grow up.Being responsible means being on your own.
As students ,we could study hard , make our parents proud and all.As an adult, we can help by voluntarism.
